I spent a whole day on the set up. Directions with the unit are detailed to the extreme, but confusing. Once you understand the "sequence" of the software program, it becomes second nature to use the watch. The compass must be Calibrated ASAP to your location along with the other functions or you will be very frustrated. One of the buttons was sticky and required some lubrication (also caused confusion during the set up).The LCD screen on level 10 brightness is too dim, at best, but saves battery power. Use the night light (green) at night. The weather prediction symbols ( sunny, clear , overcast /clouds, rain) need to be 4 to 5 times larger to even see them. I may have to add a "cats eye" magnifier on top of the them. One of the main reasons I purchased this watch was for hiking/outdoor activities, weather prediction. Avoid water contact is stated in the directions.
